Literally the best sandwich you will ever have. Great prices, selection, and atmosphere. Very popular. You might have to wait in line for a bit but it's worth it. You also have to pay with cash.

If you only have time to go to one place while in Marshalltown... Make Sub City that place.

Generous serving sizes for the price! Great food, fresh!! After the tornado and surprise remodel, Sub City is back and better than ever! Trendy look and feel, same awesome food and great smiles! Would rate 6 stars if I could!

If you want a real sub sandwich this is the only place in central Iowa to get one. All the meats & cheeses are cut right in front of you fresh. All the fixings are fresh the price is better than subway and the sub is way bigger. You'll not be disappointed!!!!

Always go here if you're from out of town. A #14, 17, or 25 is a great go to. Wonderful selections and a newly refreshed look

Its really freakin good! They accept cash only but its totally worth it! Very fresh and tasty I'll keep coming back! Just wish they didn't make all the sandwiches in the same area. I don't like onions and I always get onion taste on mine.

Been going to this Subcity since early 90’s LOVE the subs. Tonight things changed the two jokers working were extremely rude & seemed totally put out & inconvenienced to be making sandwiches for customers 15 minutes before closing. These dudes were swearing & mumbling about us & another family that arrived a little more 15 minutes before closing ton a Friday evening. I guess the moral of the story is to go there well before closing time or maybe eat at JJ’s down the road!

The staff is amazing and the subs are outstanding. I've priced the cost to prepare a similar homemade sub and I can't come close to price that Sub City has.

One of our favourite places in Marshalltown. The subs are enormous and very cheap. Everything is very fresh, subs are made right in front of you. Has a low scale approach but very friendly laid back staff.

Live two hours away, but NEVER miss a chance to eat here when we come to town. Best subs available anywhere. Staff is over the top friendly and helpful. Cash only is a bit of an inconvenience, but that is the only negative. Subs are so good, that I always pick one up for my wife and take it home to her. My wife has only been in the store one time and the staff looked at me, looked at my wife and said "You must be the number 14". My wife did not know what number her sandwich was. She looked up at the menu and realized they were correct. Where else can you get that kind of service? Very large sandwich for the price with the freshest ingredients. Absolutely delicious. The only problem is trying to stop yourself from eating a whole sub when half would be plenty.

Best Sub sandwiches in Iowa by far!

This is the best sub shop I've ever been to. #25 is the go to. Don't forget to add mama's, you won't regret it.

One of the best places to eat in Marshalltown! The subs are great, the staff is awesome, and they recently remodeled to make it more modern! Walk in, order, and sit down to eat all in matter of minutes(unless you hit the lunch rush). My only warning is that they do not take cards, so bring some cash!

Saturday 3/7/20 out of bread and locked the doors before closing hours. They should went and bought hoagie bread at a store to at least serve people who spend time to show up.

Why why why would anyone go to Subway after going here???Yeah, it doesn't have the bells and whistles but the sandwiches are: reasonable, fresh ingredients and delicious.Decor and ambiance are like being in a tropical cave, but the taste makes up for it.#21. Lettuce, mayo and mustard... keep it simple.

This hands down is the best sub sandwich shop! Fresh bread meat, cheese & lettuce . They take pride in there food & it shows! Taste is unbelievable. So glad they were able to come back after the tornado.

You won't find a better deli sandwich! If you think you did then you're lieing to yourself and you need to rethink things in life.

This place absolutely never disappoints! Brian and his staff put to shame all other sub sandwich shops in central Iowa.

Delicious subs with freshly sliced meat! My s/o would bring them home from work before we lived in Marshalltown and I was so glad to get them fresh when we moved here. Cash only. I hate using cash, but it’s worth it for these subs. I’ve been craving their sandwiches and hope they open back up soon!

Love the new decor, food as always is wonderful and more than enough per serving with great prices.
